Items That You Should Refrain From Flushing
What Not to Flush Down the Toilet: A Comprehensive List
Plumbing system problems can be endlessly annoying. That’s why you should never do anything you can to trigger them. If you want to keep toilet clogs and similar issues at bay, then you need to make a point to never flush inappropriate items. Pinpointing what not to flush down the toilet can save you a lot of hassle and inconvenience down the line. It can even save you some money. Hiring a professional plumber to assist you with a pesky toilet clog isn’t free.

Floss
It’s critical to floss your teeth daily in order to get stubborn bits of food out. Once you’re through, however, you should immediately discard of floss in the trash can. Dental floss in no way, shape or form belongs in the toilet.
Feminine Hygiene Items
Disposing of feminine hygiene items can sometimes be frustrating for women. These products can take up a lot of space inside of trash cans. Flushing them down the toilet, though, is always a serious “no no.” Women who use tampons and the like need to place them in garbage cans and nowhere else.
Paper Towels
Paper towels are daily staples in households everywhere. That doesn’t mean that they’re harmless and that they belong anywhere close to toilets, though. If you want to steer clear of any and all plumbing system nightmares, then you should throw your paper towels out in the trash can, period. Wipes shouldn’t be anywhere close to toilets, either. If you purchase wipes that claim to be suitable for flushing, that information should go in one ear and out the other. Wipes can in many cases bring on toilet and sewer pipe clogs.
Diapers
Parents who have small children are undeniably busy individuals. That’s no excuse to ever flush diapers down the toilet, however. If you need to get rid of soiled diapers, then you need to head straight over to your garbage can, plain and simple. Diapers are redolent of feminine hygiene items in that they get a lot larger when they’re in H20. That means that they become too large to travel within drains. If you want to safeguard yourself from the annoyances of diapers that are trapped inside of pipes, then you need to realize that they’re strictly off-limits in the flushing department.
Cat Litter
Cat owners need to be aware of suitable litter disposal methods. Toilet flushing is never smart for cat lovers who want to say goodbye to old litter. The vast majority of toilets out there do not employ sufficient H20 in order to encourage the efficient travel of cat litter. If you want to protect yourself from the irritation of cat litter that literally just sits inside of pipes, then you need to concentrate on the trashcan and the trashcan alone.
Hair
If you brush your hair, then you should never try to get rid of it by flushing it down the toilet. Hair is without a doubt something that never belongs in the toilet.
