Like everything else, plumbing has a lifespan. At some point during that lifespan pipes and sewer lines can fail and will need to be repaired or replaced. It might be that those pipes are older, made from materials that are susceptible to corrosion, or they have sustained damage in some way, the most common being from tree roots.

Traditionally when this has happened trenching was used to access the affected line. This causes damage to the surrounding areas- disturbing foundations, walls, decking and landscaping, and adding time and costs for restorations.

At CaitCo we offer trenchless sewer line repair and replacement.  We can access, repair, and replace affected lines with minimal excavation- leaving foundations, walls, decking, and landscaping undisturbed.

Call CaitCo Drainworks’ Santa Fe or Albuquerque office to find out more about how we can repair and replace your sewer line with trenchless technology!

How Does it Work?

Trenchless sewer line repair and replacement is often referred to as, pipe bursting. You might not like the sound of pipe bursting, especially if you are in the throes of plumbing problems, but the best part of this form or trenchless pipe repair is that it provides total pipe replacement, not just repair. The process does not affect landscaping and it allows us to make the required repairs without digging up or destroying foundations, floors, driveways, or other indoor and outdoor structures.

A cone shaped head is attached to a brand-new polyethylene pipe. Utilizing only two access points, the cone and pipe are then pulled through the existing pipe bursting the old pipe out of the way and leaving the new pipe in its place.
